For an even development of body, breath, mind and spirit, your certificated teacher will carefully instruct you using 3 learning modes:

  • Demonstrating the techniques – you learn by watching.
  • Verbal explanation – you learn by hearing.
  • Lead you through the techniques – you learn by doing.

In every Knoff Yoga class we emphasize:

  • Step-by-step progression.
  • The individuality of every student.
  • Postures are adjusted to allow for body proportions.
  • A proper yoga education as well as exercise for the body, mind and spirit.

We offer 2 Levels of classes for a comprehensive yoga education:

  • Level 1 =  Beginner (0 to 2 years)
  • Level 2 = General (2 years plus experience)

We also offer Chair Yoga which is a Level 1 class using the support of a chair.  This class is open to anybody, and particularly those with health issues and balance challenges.

The Knoff Yoga Timetable offers a range of classes daily from beginnners to more advanced levels.  You will find everything you need with mats, belts, blocks, blosters, bricks, chairs, etc. provided.  All you need to bring is a large towel or sarong to place over you in relaxation.  It is also a good idea to have an eye bag and these are available in our Yoga Shop.

We accept cash, cheques, credit cards and eftpos.

Class fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and expire within 3 months from date of first use.

Classes are drop-in style, simply arrive 10 minutes before the class starts.  There is no need to book in advance, but we do ask all students to complete a Health Questionnaire before attending class.

Note:

  • You are guaranteed a warm welcome by our professional teachers.
  • You may start classes anytime.
  • No extra costs, equipment, uniform, assessment or membership fees required!
  • We are closed on all public holidays.

 We recommend you attend classes twice per week. Home practice is encouraged as it helps you assimilate and understand what has been taught and you will progress more quickly.

All classes are based on our unique Weekly Theme - Rotational Sequence for ease of learning:

Weekly Theme:

ASANA

1. Sun Salutations & Inverted Poses
2. Standing Poses & Forward Bends/Sitting Poses
3. Arm Balancings & Abdominals
4. Twists & Backbends
5. Consolidation/Vinyasa

PRANAYAMA

Weekly Theme:
1. Ujjayi - Victorious Breathing
2. Viloma 1, 2 & 3 - Staggered Breathing
3. Surya Bhedana, Chandra Bhedana & Nadi Sodhana - Sun/Moon/Alternate Nostril Breathing
4. Kapalabhati/Bhastrika & Sitali - Skull Cleansing/Bellows & Cooling Breath
5. Ujjayi - Victorious Breathing

Each weekly theme is repeated every 5th week, so if you start classes on week 3 (Arm Balancings & Abdominals), you will do weeks 3, 4, 5, 1, 2, etc and then repeat. In other words you will pick up the other weekly themes in sequence and your yoga education and training will progress at a steady rate.

There is the appropriate mix of new material to keep you interested and old material to keep you learning through repetition.
