Training Standards & Assessment Process
Knoff Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance and delivers internationally recognized Teacher Training using The Knoff Yoga System. Training is conducted by our Master Teachers directly with trainees.
The Yoga Alliance standards are intended to strengthen the integrity of both Registered Yoga Schools (RYSs) and Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs) in the yoga community and to enhance the public perception of yoga teachers as well-trained professionals.

Knoff Yoga delivers courses that fulfill the Yoga Alliance 200hr and 500 hr course standards:
200 hr = Knoff Level 1 & 3 Courses
500 hr = Knoff Level 2, 4, 5, 6 & 7 Courses

Performance Criteria
200 hr Course Standard = 180 contact hours and 20 non-contact hours
500 hr Course Standard = 450 contact hours and 50 non-contact hours
- Contact hours relate to dedicated training with our Master Teacher in all 5 units of competency within a dedicated teaching environment.
- Non-contact hours are assigned as part of the curriculum and include:- Reading, written assignments, group activities/discussion & evaluation of yoga classes.

- Oral assessment
- Written assessment
- Practical assessment
- Student/Teacher Feedback
Teacher Certification
After four weeks of Teacher Training, you may receive either a:
- Teaching Certificate
- Statement of Attendance
- No Certificate
Pre-requisites for Certification
In order to obtain the Teaching Certificate, you are required to:
- Attend all classes
- Attend the teacher/student feed-back session
- Complete all assignments, presentations and pass the exams and assessments.
In order to obtain the Statement of Attendance, you are required to:
- Attend all classes
- Attend the teacher/student feed-back session
- Complete all assignments and presentations.
