One of the aims of Knoff Yoga is to lift the level of education about mobile. the practice of Yoga. When practiced correctly, Yoga is a powerful tool for health and well-being, but this implies you know what you are doing, i.e. skilfulness in the command of the fundamentals.
Knowing what you are doing allows you to be more efficient, effective and obtain more benefit. It allows you to practice with a laser focus, which increases your capacity in life to concentrate and maximise your use of both physical and mental energy.
This book was written as a primary tool for yoga teachers, but it is equally useful for serious students. Each Asana is presented in specific point-by-point detail – how to get into the pose, how to hold the pose and how to exit the pose, including timing and number of breaths.
The Knoff Yoga Asana Series is based on 5 linked levels: Discovery, Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced and Master. These levels
are designed to take you from a beginner all the way to a master practitioner (with great skill and proficiency).
This book contains the Knoff Yoga Discovery Asana syllabus. It is the first level in the Knoff Yoga system of progressive development and all of the postures are designed to be attempted by students new to yoga. Advanced yoga practitioners are encouraged to practice the Discovery syllabus once per week to keep them connected to these important “beginner” asanas.
